Under the generous patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the Kuwait Chemical Society (KCS) is holding their sixth edition of Kuwait Conference of Chemistry (KCC 2020) on 23rd - 25th March, 2020 under the title of "Chemistry & Sustainable Development"

This year we are celebrating 10 years of successful history of Chemistry conferences in Kuwait. We conducted our first Kuwait Conference of Chemistry (KCC 2010) from 6th to 9th March, 2010 focusing on "Chemistry and Industry". The Second Conference (KCC 2012) was held on 14th to 17th April, 2012, covering the "Alternative Energy Resources" area. The Third Conference of (KCC 2014) was held on 9th to 11th March, 2014, emphasizing on "Petroleum Industry and Environment". The Fourth Conference (KCC 2016) was held on 20th to 22th March, 2016 the covering the area "Chemistry and Life Sciences". The last conference KCC 2018 was held on 13th -14th March, 2018 and the focus areas were “Chemistry for Better Future”. We expect more than 300 participants from all over the world. The conference will include 4 categories of presentations: Plenary Speakers, Invited speakers, Oral presentation and poster presentation.

On behalf of Kuwait Chemical Society, it is our great honor to cordially invite you to the 6th Kuwait Conference of Chemistry(KCC)2020 that will be held in March 23-25, 2020, Kuwait. In line with the New Kuwait 2035 Vision thisconference will held under the title of "Chemistry & Sustainable Development"

Researchers and scientists in the chemistry fields are invited to contribute in the conference topics. Sponsors and exhibitors are encouraged to participate by presenting their latest innovations, reserving booth space, and sponsoring events.

The scientific program will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange new ideas and information. The program will include outstanding lectures and posters provided by researcher and scientists invited both from academia and industry. The scientific program will include a poster presentations session and scientific exhibition. The conference will offer the opportunity for the participants to meet with world-renown scientists.

The organizing committee will put together a very exciting traditional Kuwaiti social program for participants. We aim to make this conference a memorable event both scientifically and culturally.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION & GUIDELINES

Participants wishing to present results of recent genuine research work that have not been published else where are invited to submit a one-page abstract using the conference template given below.

The official language of the conference

English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. Participants wishing to present results of recent research work are invited to submit a one-page abstract using the template given below. Work described in contributed papers must have scientific chemistry merit, and should not have been published elsewhere prior to presentation at the Meeting

Note

Due to the limited slots for oral presentations, The Scientific Committee will evaluate and select the oral presentations; the committee’s decision is final and non-negotiable.

Presentation format

Oral format: MS-PowerPoint

Poster size: Poster will be assigned a display board: 110 x 90 cm (height x width).

Important Deadlines

  • Abstract Submission: 1st of February 2020
  • Notification of acceptance: After 15th of February 2020
  • Full paper submission to be included in the proceeding book: 1st of March 2020

Rules of Oral Presentation

  • Abstracts should be prepared in Word format and may include Tables, Schemes, Figures, and references, within one single page.
  • The paper size of the abstract must be 21 x 29.5 cm (A4) with a margin of 3 cm on the top, 2 cm at the bottom, and 2.5 cm on the right and left.
  • The abstract should be formatted using "Times New Roman" font throughout, single-spaced paragraphs, capitalized titles using 14 pt. type, 12 pt. type for the body text, and 10 pt type for the affiliation.
  • The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
  • Schemes of reactions should be drawn in Chem Draw, Chem Windows, or. Formulas should be presented clearly.
